Alberta Grown Music Festival is a non-profit event created to inspire an appreciation for Alberta Musicians, while expanding their fan base.

32 Alberta bands, performing over 3 days. Each day has its own genre: Rock, Country, Blues!

Alberta Grown Music Society is a nonprofit organization created by a volunteer board of directors.

Our mission is to increase the awareness of exceptional local musical talent
and help to pave the way for their success.

The Society has created platforms for the sharing of ideas, best practices, and collaborative learning through our website, blog, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The society has come together to set the stage for local talent through festivals and events, and to cultivate mentoring and learning through workshops.

Don J's Cancer Benefit - Edmonton

Don Johnston (Edmonton's Legendary Piano Man) and fundraising partner Dave Hiebert are hosting a benefit for Patient Funding - Alberta Cancer Foundation showcasing many local artists. Bobby Cameron is one of many Edmonton's finest talented musicians taking the stage! Due to his own battle with a rare form of Leukemia, this will be Don Johnston’s last performance. 

Throughout his 16+ years as the ‘piano man’ at Edmonton’s Rose & Crown Pub, Don has helped raise $100, 000+ for numerous charities working closely with celebrities and large charities including Kevin Lowe, Luke Richardson, the late John Berry and the Edmonton Christmas Bureau, STARS, Rainbow Society/Make A Wish and Shining Light Foundation. Shine a Light on Child Abuse.

A Silent Auction, a raffle, door prizes and 50/50 will be held during the event. Event sponsorship, Silent Auction donations and door prize contributions are very welcome!

This one-day course provides an overview of printable electronics, flexible and hybrid
Electronics.  The course will review the supply chain from materials, to components and systems developed using such applications. It will differentiate between and cover in market technologies and evolving R&D solutions with in market solutions the emphasis.
Videos, case studies, use cases and physical samples will be incorporated in the materials to match the various learning styles of the participants. The one or two small group exercises and interactive discussions will focus on exploring the needs and opportunities of the participants for the different applications.

As numbers dwindle, final reunion planned for former Woodward's employees

A  reunion marking the 25th anniversary of the end of Woodward’s Department Stores is being planned in Edmonton. 

With the ranks of former employees thinning from year to year, members of the organizing committee have decided that the May 26 reunion will be the final one.
